Counting Ourselves Lucky at Dani Beyer Real Estate
2020 was a weird, tough year for many. Parents all of a sudden became homeschool parents. (Some of our own Dani Beyer Real Estate agents know what we’re talking about!) No one could buy toilet paper or hand sanitizer. Many people went from suit and tie to business on top, pj’s on bottom. If you didn’t know what Zoom was before, you learned quickly. We saw gas prices we hadn’t seen since the early 2000s. And most people spent more time at home than ever.
Home – it’s always been an important place to most, but it took on a whole new meaning in 2020. People started to realize that if they were going to spend so much time at home, they wanted it to be a home they enjoyed and were comfortable in. And then interest rates dropped to a crazy, all-time low and there weren’t enough houses on the market to meet everyone’s needs. And then our jobs got pretty wild.
As real estate agents, we’re used to working long, weird hours, especially during peak seasons, but last year, it was even crazier with new restrictions, a wild market and our buyers and sellers having more time on their hands than ever. Thankfully, our team was already used to working virtually and we just had to make a few quick adjustments, but we were able to pivot and ultimately help 147 happy buyers and 80 happy sellers!
There’s a bunch of other stats we’re really proud of, like ranking 10th in volume out of over 12,000 Kansas City metro real estate agents. Like getting our sellers, on average 102% of the listing price, making them more money. Like selling our listings, on average, in five days. The market average is 41 days! We could go on, but we’ll let this video do the talking for us!
So yes, we feel kind of bad saying it, but in a year where there was lots of fear and sorrow, the Dani Beyer Real Estate team was able to meet and exceed our goals for the year by October! And ultimately, we thrived. And all thanks goes to our amazing clients. Return clients, referred clients, new clients – you all put your trust in us, and we hope we did you proud.
And here’s what we know about the 2021 housing market: inventory hasn’t gone up, and it’s still, very much, a seller’s market. The good news for buyers is that interest rates are still low, so it’s still a good time to buy! Our listings have been getting multiple offers over asking price within a day or two of being on the market. And we have a rolodex of buyers on standby ready to purchase your home. So, please, do yourself a favor and work with one of the top Kansas City real estate teams and give Dani Beyer Real Estate a call! We’re ready to advocate for you.
