Explore Parkville, Mo. on Episode 1 of Selling Kansas City
In summer of 2022, we announced the exciting news that Dani Beyer would be one of the hosts of the Emmy-nominated, national television show, The American Dream. “Selling Kansas City,” the KC version of the show, features lifestyle, culture and real estate of the BBQ Capital of the World.
For our first episode, we featured Parkville, Mo. – specifically English Landing Park, Main Street and custom home builder, Casa Bella Construction.
Parkville is located just north of downtown with a population of just over 7,000, though still considered part of the Kansas City Metro. Since Dani and her girls love to be outside, she featured a few of the beautiful outdoor activities available in Parkville.
English Landing Park
English Landing Park is a 68-acre green space by the Missouri River. It hosts a few miles of walking trails, playground, pickleball courts, volleyball pits and more. The Parkville Farmers Market connects to one of the parking lots and is open from spring to fall, Saturdays, 7 a.m. – 12 p.m. In the summers, it’s open the 2nd Wednesdays of the month from 12 – 4 p.m.
Main Street
Next to English Landing Park is the historic Parkville Main Street, USA Today’s top pick for most charming main street in Missouri. Parkville’s Main Street features unique shops and restaurants like Cafe des Amis, Frank’s Italian Restaurant and the quaint Parkville Coffee.
Parkville Nature Sanctuary & Riss Lake
The Parkville Nature Sanctuary is 115 acres of a wildlife preserve featuring three miles of wooded hiking trails and a waterfall fed by the Riss Lake dam. Speaking of Riss Lake, it is one of Parkville’s luxury neighborhoods, with 750 homes, a fully stocked 134-acre lake, three pools, nature trails and more.
Casa Bella Construction
On this first episode of Selling Kansas City, we feature Russ Groshans, President of luxury home builder Casa Bella Construction. Casa Bella has been in business for 20 years, and has had the pleasure of building hundreds of custom and semi-custom homes in Kansas City. Russ said homeowners inspire many touches in the home as they partner together along the building journey. Watch the episode to find out what Russ says are the major design trends right now.
