On this hike, discover the beauty of the Midwestern winter landscape! Experience the sights and sounds of winter – the striking, almost lightning-like form of bare tree branches reaching out to a clear winter sky, the subtle beauty of a sea of dried prairie grasses, the quick flurry of native birds alighting in an evergreen tree. You’ll learn lots about the trees and animals you’ll encounter along the way. The nature trail is 3.25 miles, so be prepared with proper clothing and footwear. Bring binoculars too!
