The action and competition of the American Royal ProRodeo and Youth Rodeo going on this Friday and Saturday attract the best cowboys and cowgirls from all around the country. You won’t want to miss the excitement and thrill of the Rodeo action taking over Hale Arena. It’s the best time you can have in the dirt! Head to one of three performances, each packed with bulls, barrels, mutton bustin’ and mini broncs.  Stay late each night for live music after the rodeo in the Pendleton Whisky Tailgate. Dance to Phil Vandel (Friday) and Noe Palma (Saturday), while enjoying a bite from the food trucks and playing tailgate games.

Westport Oktoberfest

Head to Westport this weekend to celebrate the area’s first Oktoberfest event, featuring German-style food, special beer tappings, stein hoisting competitions, live entertainment and a Lederhosen Lap 5K on Sunday! Live entertainment on two stages, outdoor bars, food trucks, games and exclusive Oktoberfest merchandise will line the streets of Westport on both Friday and Saturday! Festivities launch at 5 p.m. on Friday. Head to the VIP BierHaus tent on Pennsylvania between McCoy’s and Kelly’s, where $20 gets you entrance, a stein and one draft ticket. Saturday will be action-packed all day with a wide variety of beer tasting options, more stein hoisting, live music, German dance lessons wiener dog races, arionette theater and more.  Complete your Oktoberfest celebration with the Lederhosen Lap on Sunday, a 5K through the streets of Westport. Stick around after the race to enjoy unique German or Bavarian-style foods at various restaurants. Sign up for the race here.

Liberty Corn Maze

The Liberty Corn Maze is officially open for the fall season. Open on weekends, the maze invites all ages to come embark on an adventure through 25 acres of corn! Guests will enjoy learning about some of the fun uses corn provides, while having endless fun blazing through four large trails of corn. After the journey, enjoy eating a handful of crunchy, sweet, kettle corn, drinking a tasty fall beer or playing a game of Corn Toss. Don’t forget to let the little ones check out the rock, rope, tire, and soybean mazes that offer the perfect challenge. Evening campfires are even available for sitting around and relaxing after you conquer the maze. A day on the farm is sure to be a day of timeless fun for the whole family!
