Sixth Annual Westport Beer Festival

BeerKC and Sporting Kansas City are coming together this Saturday to present the Sixth Annual Westport Beer Festival, a tribute to craft beers. Held in historic Westport on Pennsylvania Avenue in front of McCoy’s Public House, the event is a benefit for AIDS Walk Kansas City and features appearances by Sporting KC stars Tim Melia, Roger Espinoza, Seth Sinovic and Ike Opara. The festival also features more than 80 craft beers from nearly 35 breweries from around the United States and abroad. Sample some of the world’’s best brews and fabulous food, while having the opportunity to mingle with the brewmasters from each participating brewery. Each ticket includes a tasting glass and unlimited pours while supplies last.

West 18th Street Fashion Show

You can get your fashion fix by checking out a local show this Saturday night at The West 18th Street Fashion Show in the Crossroads Arts District. This annual outdoor event invites 18 designers to be featured on the West 18th Street runway. The show will be held on West 18th Street, between Baltimore and Wyandotte Streets. This year’s theme, Wild Summer, debuts the sixteenth year of the West 18th Street Fashion Show and is inspired by a season of rebellion and growth. As Kansas City breaks new ground, presents fresh ideas, and celebrates a revival of craft and industry, expect a runway of alchemy and anarchy. Tickets are available online in advance.
