I am from NYC and work in an industry where the hours are long, the work is difficult, and the stress is high. When Amber and I spoke, I gave her a brief description of the type of house I was interested in, the budget I would consider, and the house search had to be done remotely due to my work. Amber listened and, with each house she visited, she preformed a methodical inspection, looking for signs of problems and commenting on the types of construction, and took pictures and videos to send back to me. I was very impressed by her honesty, work ethics, professionalism, and knowledge.

Amber made the house purchase as simple and successful as possible. Throughout the negotiations and closing, Amber and Dani Beyer were there quickly handling any issues and answering any questions that may have risen. We closed on a property within five weeks and I moved into the house a week later. I was very, very fortunate to work with Amber and I would highly recommend her to anyone. In fact, Amber and I are working on another house purchase.

When we moved into the new house and realized one of the garage doors was manual instead of electric like we expected, Desi went ahead and bought a new garage door opener for us. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare.

During the process, we also lost a family member, and Desi sent us flowers. It meant so much during a difficult time. She’s become like family to us, but she also stayed incredibly professional. She checked in regularly, kept us updated on progress, communicated promptly, and even recommended reliable contractors when we were having trouble finding help for repairs in the old house.

We can’t recommend her enough, and she’ll be our go-to anytime we need a real estate agent in the future.

While we ended up with a new build, we had initially toured a half dozen properties with Sarah where she impressed us with her knowledge of both the features AND potential problem areas of each home. I know many people whose real estate agents just want to sell a home and will gloss over the “negatives” of a property (when something looked a little iffy in a house, her and my wife would give eachother the same smirk). I never had any doubts that Sarah was acting in OUR best interest, and she was not pushy at all when it came to scheduling additional showings.

Another thing I appreciated was that she never really tried to influence us to spend more on a home, as we ended up coming to the decision to build on our own. The building process was tricky, but she never missed a meeting with the developer or walkthrough with contractors. I’m sure it would have been easy for her to just switch on “autopilot” for the deal once we had given the earnest money for the build, but she was super involved throughout the 13 month process.

In summary, if you’re a first time buyer, you want Sarah as your realtor. She has the connections to help with potential upgrades and repairs, as well as a great understanding of what can go wrong in a house due to her background in different aspects of home repair. We had to relocate to the area quickly for a job and found ourselves with two agents that did not know the downtown market in KC and weren’t willing to put in the effort to learn it for us. We had to move on and interview other agents that would move quickly and have the experience we needed to take care of us. Sarah was everything we could ask for and more! We purchased a new build and had a lot of issues with construction and navigating changes in interest rates. Our build took an entire year from the time we started looking to close and Jessica was always on top of all of our issues and advocated for us the entire way.

She took a lot of the communication with the builder off of our plate, helped us with our selections, negotiated a buy down on our rate with the builder, and got us in a home we love! Would recommend her 10 times out of 10!
