Kansas City FilmFest is once again taking over the Cinemark on the Country Club Plaza for 5 full days of film showing. As the largest film festival in the Kansas City Metro Area, Kansas City FilmFest is a festival featuring juried films, seminars, panels, receptions and parties. It’s a collaborative, multi-day, annual cultural event designed to celebrate the creativity and hard work of independent filmmakers from around the world. A mix of local, national and international award winning films are screened over a period of 5 days. Now entering its 20th year, the festival will showcase more than 100 local, regional, national and international films.

Kegs ‘N’ Eggs

On Saturday, head to Kansas City’s only Adult Easter Egg Hunt and Craft Beer Festival at the Renaissance Fair grounds. Drinking and hunting make for a fun event at KEGS ‘n’ EGGS. The Kansas City Renaissance Festival grounds are waiting for you to hunt for hidden Easter Eggs, with each egg containing tickets to be redeemed for a variety of prizes. A few golden eggs will even be filled with cash! If all that hunting makes you thirsty, you’re in luck! There will also be Craft Beer Tastings from local and regional breweries along with games, contests and live music. Get your tickets in advance, as prices increase by $10 the day of the event.

City Wide Easter Egg Hunt

For a more family friendly event, head to the City Wide Easter Egg Hunt at Liberty Memorial on Saturday on the South East Lawn from 10 a.m. – noon. Bring the kids and Easter baskets to enjoy some family fun at this gathering of community at one of Downtown Kansas City’s most famous landmarks. The event will also feature petting zoo animals, cookie decorating, bounce houses, bubbles, temporary tattoos, games, crafts and many more fun family activities including a big egg hunt and special visit by the Easter Bunny. So hop on out to the Liberty Memorial to join in the fun at this free event.
