KC Nanobrew Festival

Cool off with a local brew this Saturday afternoon at the KC Nanobrew Festival. Held at Richard L. Berkley Riverfront Park, it’s the original KC festival dedicated solely to local home brewing and giving the public a chance to see all the amazing brewing talent we have here in our own community. The creators and hosts of this event, now in it’s seventh year, have made it their mission to provide the best festival experience for the best price, so come out and have a taste while meeting some local brewers. Admission includes unlimited tastings from over 215 unique home brewed beers, a full-size souvenir glass, food and entertainment.

Pig & Swig

Enjoy the best of BBQ, bourbons and beers at Pig and Swig in the Power & Light District this Saturday. The festival showcases some of the best local and regional BBQ flavors, as well as bourbon, whiskey and craft beer. Spend the afternoon savoring the sights, smells and tastes of barbecue in the heart of downtown Kansas City. Each guest will enjoy barbecue bites, bourbon and craft beer tastings and live music along Grand Blvd. General admission tickets include eight drink tasting tokens, a souvenir tasting glass and mouthwatering BBQ bites. Participating BBQ Vendors include BLIND BoxCleaver & CorkHawg Jaw, Jazzy B’s, and Plowboys. Camp Kickoff at the 2016 Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp

Practice Starts at 3:30 p.m.
Admission Fee: $5

Are you ready for some football? Give a warm St. Joseph welcome to your local NFL team by attending the Camp Kickoff at the 2016 Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp this Saturday afternoon. The Camp Kickoff will be the Chiefs first practice open to the public at the Training Camp on the campus of Missouri Western State University. Come show your support for the home team and check out this year’s team while watching the practice and participating in other activities throughout the day. Gates open at 2:30 p.m. and be sure to stick around after practice for a full-team autograph session.

Swope Park Rangers vs. San Antonio FC

Saturday, July 30
Game Starts at 7:30 p.m.
Standard Admission: $20

If fútbol is more your thing, then head out to watch The Swope Park Rangers take on fellow USL expansion club, San Antonio FC, Saturday evening on the Children’s Mercy Victory Field at Swope Soccer Village. The newest soccer team in town, the Swope Park Rangers is a United Soccer League club affiliated with Sporting Kansas City of Major League Soccer. The Rangers play their home games at Children’s Mercy Victory Field at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Missouri. Founded just last October, the team will be Sporting Kansas City’s third USL affiliate and are always exciting to watch.
