15 poets will present dynamic performances and painstakingly powerful words in this friendly competition. After three rounds of elimination, one performer will leave with $500! There are no team qualifying pressures and no venue affiliation required: just poets performingĀ for fun and love of the art form.

Alongside a screening of the film, The Kansas City Symphony will perform Home Alone’s score from legendary composer John Williams. The holiday film favorite tells the story of 8-year-old Kevin McCallister, who is accidentally left at home from a family Christmas vacation. While waiting for his family to return, Kevin hilariously defends his home from bandits with clever traps and tricks. Home Alone is holiday fun for the family.Ā Tickets start at $40 for adults and $25 for children.
Santa Rampage 2016

Dress up in a Christmas outfit and join your friends in spreading Christmas cheer on this casual bike ride through the city. The ride starts at Brewery Imperial and goes through Crown Center, Westport and the Country Club Plaza.

Start your Christmas celebration with a jolly trot through Kansas City. Every participant will receive a free Santa suit! The course starts at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, run to the Gates Plaza, and returns. Participants of every age and fitness level are welcome.Ā Ā All participants dressed as Santa will be given a wrapped gift to carry inside to give to a child during the Breakfast with Santa event. Participants will also receive:
