Ring in the new year at the Kansas City Zoo. Watch “the ball” drop to the sea lions at noon while other animals enjoy festive enrichment items. A DJ and photo booth will be open until 2 p.m.

New Year’s Eve at the Kick

Bring in 2017 with beer, champaign, burgers and improv comedy! Join the Kansas City Improv Company for an evening of hilarious games and scenes while saying goodbye to 2016. Enjoy stand up comedy and live music as well! Green Room Burgers will provide free champagne at midnight!

New Year’s Swingin’ Eve at Union Station

Dance 2016 away to live big band jazz at Kansas City’s historic Union Station. Tickets include admission, live music, party favors, drinks, hot appetizers and midnight champagne toast. Live music will be provided by the Dave Stephens Band. Hotel packages are also available thru the Sheraton Crown Center. 

Noon Year’s Eve at Science City

This family friendly party offers an educational and safe way to celebrate New Year’s Eve. This year’s celebration features a host of scientific activities and performances.

Day One Run

Start the new year with a run through Kansas City! Starting at the Running Well Store, two routes will be available: a four mile route with a water station at the two mile route and a 16 mile route with water stations every two miles. Bagels, coffee and mimosas will be provided!
