Catch a great free concert every Thursday evening in June at Town Center Plaza as part of Sunset Music Fest; an all-ages concert series featuring a variety of different musical acts. The concerts take place in the East drive, next to Bravo’s patio, and guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs. Enjoy food, drinks and other family friendly activities, with sales benefitting the Kansas City Chapter of JDRF, a global organization that works to fund type 1 diabetes research. Kick off summer at this annual family friendly festival in the heart of downtown Lee’s Summit for live entertainment, a carnival, BBQ competition, activities and more. The Downtown Days…Streets Alive! Festival has been hosted in downtown Lee’s Summit for 20 years, and is sure to be a weekend full of fun for all ages.

Kansas City Live! is bringing the beach closer to home with this free event for the fourth year in a row this Saturday. Partygoers will enjoy a day full of games, giveaways, contests, concerts and tropical drinks. All ages are welcome! While this is a free event, it’s recommended for guests to arrive early, as space is limited. There will be parking for the event for $2 at the KC Live and Main Street Parking Garages.

Nature Connects 2: An ALL-NEW LEGO Sculpture Exhibit
May 2 – September 7, 2015

Enjoy fun for the whole family at this summer’s new exhibit at Powell Gardens. The exhibit features 27 LEGO sculptures that are inspired by nature and made from more than 300,000 LEGO bricks. The sculptures range from 6 inches to 6 feet, and represent a variety of creatures and nature scenes. Plus, you can get discounted admission when you donate any used LEGO bricks at any of The Giving Brick’s collection sites this summer.
