With a variety of showtimes running Thursday through Sunday, the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents LEGENDS promises to be a great show for all ages, and is sure to be an experience your children will always remember. This presentation is an all-new edition that unites iconic circus stars with living creatures in a celebration that has captured imaginations for centuries. The show features Ringmaster Johnathan Lee Iverson as he guides Paulo the Legend Seeker on his quest to discover real, living legends from around the world. Visit the historic Westport district this weekend for Art Westport 2015 in its 36th annual celebration is of creativity. The festival has become a Kansas City tradition and is a favorite among local artists. The three-day event boasts top artists from around the Metro and beyond. More than 130 local artists will line the streets of Westport showcasing their original art, unique jewelry, fine crafts and much more, while the rest of the neighborhood will open up offerings of shopping and food from all over the globe.

Brookside Wine & Spirits 3rd Annual Block Party

Come to the Brookside Wine & Spirits 3rd Annual Block Party this Saturday to enjoy the weather, good friends and delicious food and drink all part of a fun block party atmosphere. This year’s event is drawing more beers from a wide variety of breweries for tasting as well as great BBQ. Featured breweries include Free State, Schlafly, Unita, Breckenridge, Boulevard Brewing Company, Sam Adams Goose Island, Deschutes, Nebraska, Tallgrass, Bur Oak and many more. Tickets are $20 online in advance through PayPal, and there are only a limited number. Tickets will also be available in store and at the block party, but only if they are not sold out in advance.

Plaza 10k & 2 Mile Fun Run

It’ll be a beautiful weekend for a run, so if you’re a runner, be sure to register for the fifth annual Plaza 10k this Sunday. The Plaza 10k is Kansas City’s signature 10k event, and the largest 10k in Kansas and Missouri with 5,000 runners. If you’re not into running long distance, The Plaza 10k also offers a 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk and a Kids Fun Run (ages 1-8) for runners of all levels to enjoy. The flat and fast course runs along the banks of Brush Creek and goes through the heart of the Country Club Plaza and is a great opportunity to enjoy a unique race in the heart of Kansas City. The Plaza 10k benefits KidsTLC, donating a portion of each race entry to the organization. There is no race day registration, so be sure to do so online in advance.
