November is here, bringing with it nightly freezes and plenty of excuses not to leave the house. With winter weather coming, the knee-jerk reaction for most of us is to slowly prepare for hibernation, transitioning into more Friday nights on the couch binge-watching Netflix than out-and-about nights on the town. Take advantage of the last weeks of fall before winter creeps its way in, trying something new every night of the week! Dani Beyer Real Estate has your plans – Monday thru Sunday.

1

Monday: Waldo Jazz Collective

The Piano Room | 8410 Wornall Rd, KCMO 64114 | 7 – 10 p.m.

With Stoli Cocktails starting at $4.25, The Piano Room is perfect for date night.

Tuesday: Half-Price Burger Night at The Quaff

The Quaff Bar & Grill | 1010 Broadway St, KCMO 64105 | 5 – 10 p.m.

What better excuse to brace the weather this season than half price burgers at The Quaff? Add on fries and a drink to enjoy some of the best burgers in Kansas City, at the best prices. Try the Mushroom Swiss Burger or the Baja Burger (our personal favorites) and stay after to have a drink and a game of darts or pool.  Visit any day of the week to enjoy their giant flat screens – they’re perfect to watch your favorite teams on game day!

How do you First Friday? The Crossroads District of eclectic shops and vendors comes alive each first Friday of the month, bringing out tons of unique finds. You’ve gotta visit: Peggy Noland’s Boutique at 124 W 18th St – the cutest vintage store you may ever visit. First Friday’s are also home to dozens of food trucks with every type of cuisine imaginable. Don’t miss: Just Stick It – AMAZING food at decent prices (the Pulled Pork Sandwich and Bacon Wrapped Chicken Breast are some of the best we’ve ever had!)

Saturday: O’Malley’s 1842 Public House Tour

O’Malley’s 1842 Public House | 500 Welt St, Weston, MO 64098 | 1, 3 & 5 p.m.

An experience to remember. The moment you step inside the plain door of O’Mally’s 1842 in Weston, you’re transported back in time. Walking through the limestone cellars to the ground-level bar is reminiscent of prohibition days and the beginning of the pub house brewery. Originally built in the 1840’s to store barrels of brewed beer, O’Malley’s central bar is the perfect setting to enjoy a glass of Irish Whiskey or an in-house brew.

Sunday: Day-Tripping – World’s Top 7 Places to Watch a Sunset

Kansas Flint Hills | Windsor, KS 67023 | 5:25 Sunset

This past year, the Flint Hills of Kansas were mentioned in Green Landscape’s Top 7 Places to Watch Sunsets – in the entire world! Other locations mentioned were Finland, Santorini Island in Greece, French Polynesia, and the Kingdom of Cambodia. As the last remaining tall grass prairie in North America, the Kansas Flint Hills were the only destination that didn’t include a body of water. With a wide collection of wildlife and wildflowers, the Hills are the perfect destination for the end of a long Sunday drive (at 3 hours, it’s worth it)! The best way to get to best view: the Scenic Byway on K-177, the preserve resting two miles north of Strong City (don’t miss the overlook south of Cottonwood Falls as well). Marvel at the beauty of the so-called “fly-over states,” and make memories to last a lifetime.
