Big Slick Celebrity Weekend is an annual Kansas City Event, hosted to benefit Children’s Mercy Hospital. Every year, hometown celebs Rob Riggle, Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, Eric Stonestreet and David Koechner return for a weekend full of laughs, fun and charity. The weekend kicks off on Friday for the Big Slick Celebrity Classic at Kauffman Stadium. Saturday is the Big Slick Celebrity Bowl and the Party and Auction event. Prices vary by event, so check out the events page for more details. These hilarious celebrities and their guests are sure to provide a roaring good time.

Take your dad to Boulevardia for the ultimate craft beer experience. Hosted by Boulevard Brewing Company, the second annual beer festival takes place all weekend in the historic West Bottoms and is rich in beer, food and music. Each day will feature different musical entertainment, so check the schedule to find your favorite. On Saturday, the event will also feature a Makers Market and Vintage Village for crafts and art from local artisans and vintage and antique finds in the West Bottoms best shops. It’s one festival this summer you certainly won’t want to miss!

Come celebrate Hispanic culture at the 16th annual Fiesta Kansas City will be held this weekend right in the heart of Kansas City. Presented by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City, this is an event that’s definitely worth checking out. The Fiesta features delicious food, beverages, great music and entertainment, dancing and a host of vendors. With 2 stages rocking the Crown Center Pavilion over three days, families and friends will find the perfect way to celebrate Latino-style! Jazz in the Woods is another great open air music event featuring a variety of jazz genres and artists. Dubbed “Kansas City’s Largest Free Music Festival”, it’s true to its name and requires no ticket for this great family-friendly event. Food and drink vendors will be on site as you picnic in the grass while grooving to some of the best jazz in town, while proceeds raised benefit local charities.

Another great music and arts festival going on this weekend is the Parkville River Jam, Jazz, Blues and Fine Arts Festival, celebrating its 20th year. Come out Friday, Saturday, or both for great music, food and fine arts tents where you can meet the artists and chat with them about their work. Spread a blanket on the lawn to share with family and friends and celebrate dad with some fabulous music and a great time.
