Beat the heat with a tasty beer. Another beer festival hits the West Bottoms this weekend with the KC Nanobrew Festival, the original Kansas City festival dedicated solely to local home brewing. Head down to the former Golden Ox parking lot to see the amazing brewing talent right here in our own community, and maybe get inspired yourself. Admission includes unlimited tastings from 150 different home brewers, a souvenir glass, food and entertainment. Your meal ticket will get you a delicious meal from a variety of local food trucks that will be on site during the event.

Maker Faire: Kansas City is an event things people create, make and build themselves, from new technology and electronics to urban farming and foods to homemade clothes, quilts and sculptures. The event includes demonstrations, booths and shows illustrating what and how people are inventing, making and creating. It brings together Makers, Crafters, Inventors, Hackers, Scientists and Artists for a faire full of fun and inspiration. City Market Crawfish Festival

Head down to the City Market on Friday night for good food, good music and a good time at the City Market Crawfish Festival. Featuring the Bon Ton Soul Accordion Band, The MGDs, great Cajun food and cold drinks, it’s a fun outdoor event you and the whole family can enjoy. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., tickets will be sold at the gate, but could sell out in advance. So, if you’re interested, get your tickets today.

Urban Grown Farms & Gardens Tour

Ever wonder where your food comes from? There are a lot of urban farms and gardens around the Kansas City area, more than you might think! Get out this weekend to explore some of the urban farms and gardens in the city has to offer and discover what’s growing right here in Kansas City. This self-guided tour is your chance to visit the people who are changing the way KC eats. Enjoy learning about urban farming, starting a garden and tasting some fresh produce. The tour spans 30 different farms across the area.

The Rolling Stones Concert

If you’re a fan of rock and roll then Arrowhead Stadium is the place for you to be this Saturday night. The Rolling Stones will be rocking the house on the 10th stop of their 15-city North American ZIP CODE tour. It’s been 26 years since the last time The Rolling Stones played at Arrowhead, so you won’t want to miss this show. Opening for the Rolling Stones is Ed Sheeran.
