If Dad’s into college sports or shooting hoops The College Basketball Experience is the place to hit this weekend. Inside the Sprint Center, the CBE is now open daily for 77 Days of Summer! Head in to beat the heat for two to eight hours of fun! So much more than a museum, the College Basketball Experience is a high-energy interactive facility where fans of all ages can immerse themselves in the game. From skills challenges to capturing your own call of a historic game at the ESPNU Broadcast Desk, you’ll experience college basketball like never before. You can also learn about the legends who have made the game great. Players, coaches, teams, media personalities—basketball wouldn’t be what it is today without the contributions of the fearless visionaries you’ll walk among in the College Basketball Hall of Fame.

Or maybe Dad’s a fan of craft beer and live music. If so, spend some time with him at Boulevardia, back for its fourth year over Father’s Day weekend. Relocated to the Stockyards District of the West Bottoms, this year’s festival promises to be the best yet with bigger headlining performers, more drinks including a wine area and beer cocktails, and a variety of food options from food trucks to West Bottoms hot spots like Voltaire and Rockstar Burgers. The multi-day event will be highlighted by a variety of special experiences along with music from local, regional and national acts, entertainment, shopping and eco-education in a unique urban setting. The Color Run

If your Dad enjoys being active, you might enjoy participating in the Color Run together, taking place this Saturday morning at Arrowhead Stadium. Run through foam zones and blasts of color, including new colors in the classic powder Color Zones. Along the course, participants can paint their aspirations on the Dream Wall, snap whimsical photos, and get the ultimate color inspiration at the Finish Festival amidst vibrant bursts of color throws. Each Color Runner will receive a limited-edition Dream Tour race shirt, a fun temporary tattoo, and a one-of-a-kind Finisher’s Medal. Less about your 10-minute-mile and more about having fun, The Color Run is a five-kilometer, un-timed event in which thousands of participants are doused from head to toe in different colors along the way, so be sure to wear white!

To wrap up Father’s Day weekend with a solid brunch, head to the Roasterie under the plane just off Southwest Boulevard for their Father’s Day Food Truck Brunch from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Sunday. Bring your family out to enjoy great food from a variety of local food trucks as well as Father’s Day giftables from local vendors. And, of course, coffee! Food trucks on site will include KC Pinoy, Tito’s BBQ & Kitchen, Greg-Co BBQ, Taste of Brazil Market and Slater’s.
