Running at the Sprint Center this weekend through the end of the month, it’s a charming and fun show you won’t want to miss. Watch your favorite characters skating live to dazzling special effects and sing along with favorite songs, including “Let It Go.” Hosted by Mickey and Minnie, with special appearances by beloved Disney Princesses and characters from favorites like Disney Pixar’s Toy Story, Finding Nemo and Disney’s The Lion King. This unforgettable celebration of love and friendship will leave your family with memories that last a lifetime.

Funny or Die Presents the Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival

Two of this year’s biggest comedians, Aziz Ansari and Amy Schumer, will be coming to KC this Friday for the Funny or Die Presents the Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival as part of the 2015 Capitol Federal Concert Series at Starlight Theatre. Joining Ansari and Schumer on the Oddball stage are additional performers who are household names to comedy fans, including Anthony Jeselnik, Bridget Everett, Jeff Ross, Nick Kroll, Rachel Feinstein and T.J. Miller. With this all-star cast, it’s sure to be a full night packed full with great comedy performances, fun and a lot of laughter.

Roots Festival

Check out the 26th annual Roots Festival in Paola Park Square this weekend. With great BBQ, crafts, local vendors and a wide variety of live music there’s something for the whole family to enjoy. So bring a lawn chair and get set up in your favorite spot for a whole day or evening of great entertainment. Tickets are just $15 at the gate the day of the festival, or you can get a two day pass for $25 at select locations in advance. Last year’s festival drew about 6,000 people, so arrive early!

Wipeout Run

Wave 1: Start times between 8:00am – 10:30am
Wave 2: Start times between 11:30am – 2:00pm
Registration: $69

Have you ever watched the show Wipeout and thought you could do better than the contestants you saw? Well, now’s your chance! Wipeout Run is this Saturday at the Kansas Speedway. Featuring larger than life obstacles, you’ll have a blast taking on the course. Open to anyone 18 and up with athletic ability, this untimed 5k will put you to the test. Afterwards, stick around to enjoy vendors, food and refreshments. Register in advance to save $10, otherwise, day of registration is $79. Parking is $10 in cash.

Q104’s Yallapalooza Ft. Little Big Town

If you can’t make the comedy show on Friday night, there’s another opportunity to enjoy the wonderful outdoor experience of Starlight Theatre this weekend with live music thanks to Q104’s Yallapalooza country concert. With popular country band Little Big Town headlining, the show will also feature performances by David Nail and Ashley Monroe.
