Street Painting was created in Italy many centuries ago and brought to life by artists using pastel chalks as their medium and pavement/brick as their canvas. This weekend, head to Crown Center to experience the creation of these street paintings, interact with the artists and enjoy street performers and the Children’s Creative Corridor and Workshops. Kansas City Chalk and Walk Festival is back for its 10th annual two-day event, which will showcase hundreds of professional, student and amateur artists as they create lively and powerful chalk paintings on the streets of Kansas City.
