March Madness is taking downtown Kansas City by storm this weekend, as our city plays host to the Midwest Regional of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship. The Midwest Regional’s Semi-Final and Final will be held on Thursday and Saturday at the Sprint Center in the Power and Light District. Two of the four teams playing on Thursday will advance to the final on Saturday, including Michigan, Oregon, Kansas and Purdue. Attend the games or cheer from the bars and restaurant district next door.

A Taste of Leavenworth

For those on the Kansas side, head to Leavenworth on Saturday for a delicious and fun evening. The 15th annual A Taste of Leavenworth kicks off at 5 p.m. and will feature a night full of LV County’s finest in food and beverages. Enjoy samplings, music entertainment, artisans & auction all as part of a fundraiser for the LV Historical Museum Assn. Call (913) 682-1023 for ticket information. Cocktail Class at Julep

Grab a coffee and join in to kick off a new season of fun under the plane from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Representatives from Sporting Kansas City will be joining as well with a mobile futsal court.
