Monster trucks will take over the Sprint Center this weekend! See your favorite trucks like Gravedigger and El Toro Loco rampage through races, freestyles and donuts in a points-based competition. Trucks will also go on display at various locations around the city.

Cultures of China: Festival of Spring

The 2017 Cultures of China, Festival of Spring global tour, presented by China’s acclaimed artists from China Ethnic Song and Dance Ensemble, tell a story about modern urban youth backpacking through China and experiencing the beautiful sights and sounds of China’s minority areas.

Art Starts at the Library

Gallery exhibits. Kids’ activities. Music. Munchies. The Library again makes a place on First Friday for the entire family.
 
The first-floor Genevieve Guldner Gallery offers the exhibit Coloring Space, spotlighting the works of acclaimed painter and longtime Kansas City Art Institute instructor Warren Rosser. The Rocky and Gabriella Mountain Gallery houses A Photo Album of Ireland, a touring exhibition of more than 120 photographs documenting the triumphs and turmoil of life in Ireland over the past century and a half.

Wine and Chocolate Pairing

Enjoy an early Valentine’s Day with a wine & chocolate pairing at Fence Stile Vineyards & Winery of Excelsior Springs. The wine flight will include a white wine, a red wine and our port-style wine – each paired with handmade chocolates.
