Movies in City Market Park – The Big Lebowski

There’s two opportunities to catch a free outdoor movie this Friday evening. The Crown Center Weekender series continues with Jurassic World, or catch The Big Lebowski at City Market Park. City Market Park and Kansas City’s beautiful skyline are the perfect setting for the community to gather on a summer evening and enjoy a cult classic feature film together. Come early and enjoy dinner at your favorite City Market restaurants, then head over to City Market Park to grab a spot for the Alamo Drafthouse pre-show starting at 8:30 p.m. Feel free to bring your own lawn chair, blanket and cooler. Legends Live: Summer Concerts

Turn up the heat with live performances every Saturday, June 10 to Aug. 5, featuring favorite local bands including Red Guitar, The Zeros, Run With It, Rattle & Hum, Mr. Stinky Feet and more. Plus, register to win prizes and gift cards during the Legends Live concerts at the Civic Courtyard Fountain near AMC Legends 14 Theatre. This weekend, Legends Live welcomes Big Time Grain Company, Kansas City’s premier country western and country rock band performing crowd favorites from many artists.

Fringe Festival is back and continues through this weekend. The annual KC Fringe Festival is a celebration of performance and creativity that tiptoes the line between the avant-garde and pieces with mass appeal. The 11-day extravaganza typically features performances in dance, theater, comedy, spoken word, visual arts, film, burlesque and music. KC Fringe Festival is a city-wide celebration of local, regional and national artists. The Great Car Show

Spend your Sunday with the Kansas City Automotive Museum and the National World War I Museum and Memorial at The Great Car Show. Showcasing a variety of all types of years, makes and models, the show will feature up to 400 unique vehicles, along with live music, educational displays, food trucks, demonstrations, ride-alongs and much more.
