Kansas City Cars and Coffee at Rosana Square

Are you interested in cars? Do you like free coffee and donuts? Then the Kansas City Cars and Coffee event in Rosana Square this Saturday morning is the place for you. KC Cars and Coffee exists to unite automotive enthusiasts all over the KC metro area by hosting a car meet once a month. A cars and coffee is similar to a cruise night; except that it’s in the morning and coffee and donuts are involved. It’s free to show your car and free to spectate. KC Cars and Coffee welcomes all makes, models and years, which makes for an interesting mix of vehicles every time, with the last meet drawing more than 450 vehicles. As a car enthusiast, there’s always something to learn or appreciate.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny & Egg Hunt at Powell Gardens

Adults: $19 ($12 for Members)
Seniors 60 and over: $18 ($11 for Members)
Children ages 5-12: $13 ($10 for Members)
Children ages 4 and Younger: $11 ($8 for Members)

Join the Easter bunny for a morning of fun at Powell Gardens! Guests of all ages will enjoy a Chris Cakes breakfast, including all-you-can-eat pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, orange juice and coffee. Prepaid reservations are required for the breakfast, which has three seating times: 8:45 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Kids ages 10 and younger can participate in the egg hunt, which takes place on the Gardens’ lawn promptly at 11 a.m. Other kids’ activities include storytelling with Ms. Frizzle, coloring and crafts, and for an additional fee, paint-a-pot and face painting. The fee also includes admission to Powell Gardens’ Spring Butterfly Exhibit. Special pricing is available if you’d like to do the egg hunt only.

Kansas City Easter Parade at Zona Rosa

In 2006 Zona Rosa reintroduced a local favorite: Kansas City’s own Easter Parade. It was met with such fanfare that the event has since become an annual spring tradition at Zona Rosa. So bring the family to this free community event this Saturday, featuring the Easter Bunny, a “Best Dressed” walking parade, a petting zoo, family games at Town Square, and more activities for all ages throughout the day. So show up in your Easter best and join the parade for the opportunity to win prizes, including the best dressed family award of $1,000 in Zona Rosa gift cards.

Uncorked: KC Wine Festival

Enjoy sipping on some delicious wine in one of Kansas City’s most beautiful historical locations at Union Station this Saturday. The inaugural Uncorked: KC Wine Festival will take place with sessions on Saturday afternoon and evening in the stunning Union Station grand ballroom. This event will feature over 50 wineries, gourmet food trucks, live music, and the perfect opportunity to sample new wines and revisit old favorites. Cocktail attire is requested, but not required.

Where the Wild Things Are at Coterie Theatre

March 24 – May 7

Ticket Prices Range from $11 – $15

Take your child to a play they will always remember with Where the Wild Things Are at coterie Theatre. This acclaimed adaptation of Sendak’s beloved classic is an intimate guided interactive play experience as audiences become part of the story as they transform Max’s bedroom into a forest, wear masks to become Wild Things that befriend Max and help to “let the Wild Rumpus begin.” The show is running this weekend through May 7, with a variety of showtimes to choose from. You can get your tickets online in advance. PreK–2nd grades receive Adventure Tickets, which offer floor seating and audience participation with Max, while 3rd grade and older will be seated in the main audience.
